Construction Safety Administration – Online

This one-day course is designed to provide participants with information about effectively managing and monitoring a construction Health & Safety management system. This course summarizes and pulls together material from several other courses in the NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) and HSA (Health & Safety Administrator) programs. The course exam allows students to demonstrate their broad understanding of the various health and safety topics covered by these programs.

Course topics include:

  • standards for working as an HSE professional
  • project safety planning
  • HSE leadership and accountability
  • company health, safety and environmental training
  • records, statistics and trend analysis
  • due diligence and documentation
  • environmental programs
  • HSE communications and reports


This course has a written exam component. Participants must achieve a minimum score of 80% for course completion.

This course is also available as a classroom course.


Principles of Health & Safety Management (PHSM), Auditor Training (ATP), Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE), WHMIS Train-the-Trainer, Alberta OH&S Legislation Awareness, Worksite Investigation Basics, Basic Instructional Techniques, and Communication and Ethics for the Safety Leader must be completed before taking this course. Please call 1-855-SAF-T-REG to register for this course.
