Auditor Training Program (ATP)™

Classroom Course

The Auditor Training Program is a three-day course designed for individuals who will be evaluating the effectiveness of a company’s Health & Safety Program. Participants will be shown how quality audits reduce risk and incidents through a systems approach. Click here for a calendar of available classes.

This two-level program consists of a three-day course (Certificate of Completion) and Qualification Audit submission (Certified Peer Auditor Certificate).


For an auditor to maintain their status, they must conduct an internal audit, COR Action Plan, maintenance audit or external audit, in not one, but both interim years leading up to their re-certification. If an auditor fails to meet this piece of criteria they will be automatically disqualified and will be required to re-sit the ATP course should they wish to regain certification.


CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION – First Level of the Program

The three-day course covers:

  • introduction to the auditing process
  • responsibilities of all parties involved
  • chronological steps of an Audit process
  • how to use the ACSA Audit Document
  • workshop

The course has a very in-depth workshop in which all participants must demonstrate an understanding of practical auditing procedure. Participants must also attain a minimum score of 80% on a written exam for course certification (Certification of Completion).


Participants may submit a qualification/self-audit (individually conducted) within three months after completing the three-day course. If the qualification/self-audit is approved by the ACSA COR department, an ACSA Peer Auditor Certificate will be issued.

Once certified as a Peer Auditor, you must maintain certification by completing and submitting an annual internal, maintenance or external audit.


Principles of Health & Safety Management (PHSM)™ must be completed before taking the Auditor Training Program.

Using the student entrance please check the board/TV screen and report to your assigned classroom. Check-in starts at 7:30 am. The course begins at 8:00 am.
