Prime Contractor

Classroom Course

This one-day course is designed for employers and workers who need a clear understanding of how responsibilities are divided on multi-employer sites. This course is targeted for construction industry work sites, and is based on Alberta Prime Contractor legislation (including Bill 6 updates).

Course topics include:

  • legal responsibilities of a prime contractor
  • goals and challenges of prime contractors
  • project management health and safety planning
  • pre-qualification and evaluation processes
  • case studies


This course has a written exam component. Participants must achieve a minimum score of 80% for course certification.




To request a refund or transfer, notification must be received two (2) business days prior to scheduled course date or payment will be forfeited.

Using the student entrance please check the board/TV screen and report to your assigned classroom. Check-in starts at 7:30 am. The course begins at 8:00 am.
Government-issued photo ID is required for course attendance.
