Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE)™

Classroom Course

This two-day course is designed to provide participants with tools to integrate into their daily activities to create and promote a healthy and safe working environment . Course materials are geared toward supervisory positions, yet beneficial to all.

Course topics include:

  • the role of the supervisor
  • safety responsibilities of managers, supervisors and workers
  • company culture
  • hazard assessments
  • safety inspections
  • incident investigations
  • worker training and communication

The ACSA LSE is a Two-Level Program

First Level of the LSE Program - Certificate Of Completion

Participants must complete the two-day course and attain a minimum score of 80% on the final exam to receive a Certificate of Completion.

Second Level of the LSE Program - Certificate Of Proficiency

To receive the ACSA LSE Certificate of Proficiency, participants must submit copies of the following documents to the ACSA for review as per the LSE Proficiency submission requirements:

  • hazard assessment
  • site inspection
  • incident investigation
  • toolbox talk/safety meeting

A LSE Certificate of Completion is required for the Health & Safety Administrator (HSA) Program. A LSE Certificate of Completion and Certificate of Proficiency are required for the National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) Program.

Pre-requisites:

None.

To request a refund or transfer, notification must be received two (2) business days prior to scheduled course date or payment will be forfeited.

Using the student entrance please check the board/TV screen and report to your assigned classroom. Check-in starts at 7:30 am. The course begins at 8:00 am.
Government-issued photo ID is required for course attendance.
